Meet held on human rights

SURAT, July 5: A conference on Human Rights was organised recently by the West Zone Directorate of Central Board of Workers Education in association with sub-regional centre in Surat and Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited at the latter's community hall.South Gujarat University Vice-Chancellor Ashwin Kapadia inaugurated the conference, while MP Gopalsinh Solanki was the chief guest. The conference discussed human rights training in four sections. Thane Regional Director V R Hanwat spoke on `Human Rights - Global Perspective'. The second session started with presentation of a paper by Mumbai's regional director R Y Deshpande on `Human Rights in India - Legal Provisions.'
