Ministers to hear hospital staff woes

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, July 9: With the strike of Delhi hospital employees completing its second day, the government today announced that a newly-appointed Committee of Ministers would be meeting shortly to consider their demands.

Assuring the striking workers that the government would consider their demands ``very sympathetically'', Health Minister Dalit Ezhilmalai appealed to the 40,000 employees to withdraw their strike with immediate effect.

Besides the Health Minister, the committee of ministers includes Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha and Personnel Minister R Janardhanan. The group is scheduled to meet on July 13.
