Crime Watch -- Vadadora

Arrested in graft case
Three head constables of the Kheda district traffic police were caught red-handed by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau who were allegedly extorting money from drivers of trucks and other goods carriers near Vadtal Chowki on National Highway No 8 on Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Andrabhai Manabhai, Asghar Ali Kasim Ali Saiyad and Chimanbhai Cayanbhai. Corruption cases have been registered against them and is being investigated.

Case registered
A case of cheating has been registered in the Gorwa police station against one Rakesh Kumar Rajput, an employee of Kalpatru Super Market in Ellora Park. According to the FIR, Rajput, who worked as counter-cashier, allegedly misappropriated thousands of rupees by not entering the bills in the computer. The police is investigating the matter.

Suicide
One Sairabano Mohammed Munir Aminkhan Pathan, a resident of Momin Park No 1, tried to end her life by consuming insecticide on Wednesday, the police said. The woman had no regular source of income and used to work as a maid, the police said adding she resorted to this extreme step as she was disappointed with life.

Vehicles stolen
In two cases of vehicle thefts registered by the police, a moped (GJ-6-M-8123) and a scooter (GUK-1792) were reportedly lifted from two different places in the city on Wednesday evening. Ambalal Jethabhai Patel, a resident of B-49, Jinagar Society in Makarpura, told the Raopura police that his moped parked oppposite Khadi Gramodyog near Kothi building was stolen, while Arifbhai Muhammedbhai Shaikh, a resident of Ahmedabadi Pole said his scooter parked outside his house was also lifted.
