Weekend Retreat/Michelle Tung
Sujata Assomull
Model and make-up-artist Michelle Tung tends to spend most weekends working. "Weddings and shows tend to be on over the weekend, and if I am doing the make-up for a celebrity shoot then that usually takes place on the weekend too, as that's the only time they are free," says Michelle. But what Michelle really likes to do on the weekend is go over to friend's house and watch a video. Or invite friends over for a meal. She finds cooking very therapeutic and a good way to relax. "I often cook for my friends. I make Burmese Khaukswe, different types of Indian foods and pasta. I tend to eat a lot on the weekend," says the slim-as-a-reed model. The only thing that Michelle will not touch is meat as she is a vegetarian. And as for partying, she prefers quiet evenings at a friend's house as opposed to a night out, painting the town red. "I am not a party person anymore," she says. Most Sunday's she goes to a friend's house in Worli to catch the sun. "She has a pool and we go there by noon and just relax the wholeday," she says. Then she joins her friends in a game of backgammon and they wind up their weekend by watching a video. Michelle makes R&R an art form. Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
