Swadheen Kshatriya, Vice-president and Chief Executive Officer, MHADA received a memento from the Chief Minister Manohar Joshi for the work MHADA has done for rehabilitation of earthquake affected people in Latur and Osmanabad district. MHADA constructed 1,123 houses, 21 amenity buildings and roads, drains at Sastur which were handed over to the people recently. It also built and handed over 770 houses at Pethsangvi and 1056 at Makni.

Scholarship for deaf students

The Nilam Patel Bahushrut Foundation has invited applications for scholarships from hearing impaired students in the following categories: students who have passed SSC examinations from normal schools in 1998; who have passed HSC examination in any discipline in June 1998 and who have passed Bachelor's or Master's level examination in June 1998.
