Rags raag
The Duniya girl is back with another music album Pyaar Ka Rang. And as usual, Raageshwari tries to capitalise on her "bubbly effervescence". A mix of romantic ballads, love songs and catchy party numbers, the new album promises to outdo the "smashing success" of her old record. The video that will first be premiered is the title song which has been shot in Egypt around the pharoahs -- and of course her brother Rishabh has made the video. And her father Trilok Loomba has written the songs. Rags is a really family-oriented person! Now, we just have a couple of questions to ask: Will all this gloss, ie foreign locales, exotic ideas et al, cover the fact that Raageswari cannot sing to save her life? And isn't it time that she shed her cutsie little girl image and tried something else? No one buys the fact that Rags will remain young forever. So what is she going to do when she grows up? We can only hope that she will stop singing and switch to something she knows.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
