32 school kids hurt in bus collision

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
FARIDABAD, July 16: Thirty-two children were injured when a school bus carrying over 40 students and a Haryana roadways bus collided near the Sector 16 crossing on the Delhi-Mathura highway here this morning. Two girls with serious head injuries were admitted to the Sunflag Hospital ICU.

The condition of eight students who were still under treatment at the hospital is still serious. The accident took place around 7 a.m.. The school bus carrying students from the Holy Child Public School was crossing the National Highway when it collided with the roadways bus. The roadways bus was on its way to Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh.

While nine students with minor bruises were sent back home immediately after the mishap, 24 were rushed to the Sunflag Hospital. By the evening all the injured, except the eight with serious injuries, were released from the hospital.

Krishan Kumar, the roadways driver is absconding.
