Houses burgled In separate cases of house-breaks registered by the police on Monday, cash and valuables were stolen from two houses in different parts of the city. Kishor Janakmal ramchandani, a resident of Shankarbaug society in Makarpura, complained to the police that Rs 16,000 in cash and silver coins worth Rs 500 were stolen from his house on Monday. In another case registered with the Gorva police, Kiranben Bharatbhai Zariwala, of Hari Krishna Housing Society near Samata flats, complained that house no 40-B in her society was ransacked on Sunday night. The owner of the house, Tulsibhai Patel, was out of station, she added.Vehicle theft One Amitbhai Indravadan Shah, a resident of Apeksha Society on VIP Road, complained that his Bajaj Super scooter (GJ-6-1332) worth Rs 7,000 was stolen from Madhvani Classes in Raopura on Saturday. The Raopura police have registered a case and are investigating. Liquor seized The city police on Monday seized 48 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth Rs 1,449 and 25 litres of country liquor worth Rs 500 from different parts of the city and arrested five people in this connection.
