NEW DELHI, August 3: Special CBI Judge Ajit Bharihoke on Monday remanded a retired Army official to 14-day judicial custody for his alleged involvement in a cheating case.The CBI had arrested Lt Col P.S.R. Rao (retd) in Hyderabad for allegedly cheating the Defence Ministry of over Rs 10 crore during 1994-97. Rao is supposed to be the accomplice of Capt Inder Bir Singh Uppal (retd), who was arrested by the CBI on July 28. Uppal is currently in CBI custody.
According to the investigating agency, Uppal and Rao allegedly cheated the Ministry by showing ``fraudulent supplies'' to the Director General (Ordnance).
