Skirting the truth
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) seems to believe that it has struck a political goldmine in the Jain Commission report. This is clear from its approval of the final report of the commission while rejecting the government's action taken report (ATR).
Corporate India in a fix
Corporate India is up to its ears in bad news. First quarter results show 1998-99 has started badly for all but a few sectors with growth rates slowing or turning negative.
Loot of a nation
There is a shloka of Bhagat Kabir which goes, "Kabir lootna hai to loot le/ Ram nam hai loot/ Phir pache pachhtauge/ Pran jaenge chhoot." (Kabir, why are you after worldly pleasures? Gather the Creator's name, which is perennially available. If not, you will regret it at the end of life's journey).
