Burns death
One Dakshaben Kiranbhai, a 22-year-old resident of Khalesnagar slum at the Katargam GIDC, died in the Maskati Hospital of the city during the early hours of Wednesday after she sustained severe burn injuries in her house. Doctors at the Maskati Hospital stated that Dakshaben was being treated for the past four days at the hospital. The Katargam police are investigating after registering a case under CrPC 174.Body recovered
The Mahidharpura police have recovered the body of an unidentified 60-year-old woman, from a road near Falsawadi Wakharia Mill in Mahidharpura area. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered and the police have sent the body to the New Civil Hospital for post mortem.
Vehicle stolen
Two vehicles were stolen in separate cases registered at the Kapodara police station on Wednesday. A Maruti 800 car (DLM 5142), belonging to Jagatnarayan Singh Kapoor, was stolen from the Puna-Kumbharia Road area of the city on Wednesday. According to Kapoor, his vehicle was stolen from the parking space of his house between 3 and 4 am. In another case registered at the Kapodara police station, Dedaram Chaudhary complained to the police that his Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 10 6377) was stolen from his house, located at Shreeji Complex Lambe Hanuman Road, on Tuesday night. Cases of vehicle theft under IPC 379 have been registered.
Hit-and-run
One Kavita Gaikwad, a three-year-old girl, received head injuries when a motorcyclist hit her with his vehicle (GJ 5 CC 2187) at Baroda Pristage Char Rasta in Varachha. Rajendra, the victim's father, lodged a complaint in the police station and identified the accused as one Vijaykumar Patel. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
