Theft cases registered
In a case of house-break registered by Makarpura police on Wednesday, diamond and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.76 lakh were stolen from a house in Vimal Society in Makarpura area. According to the complainant, the thieves entered the house from the bedroom and stole cash and valuables from the cupboard. In another case of theft registered by the Fatehgunj police, a car-stereo, battery and spare wheel, worth Rs 7900, were stolen from a Maruti car (GJ2-A-7071) parked in the premises of house no 16, Swati Society.Injured
Four people were injured, when a state transport bus (GJ-1-Z-4677) hit a bullock cart, a scooter and a motorcycle on Sant Kabir Road under Wadi police station on Wednesday, the police said. While a bullock died on the spot, two persons travelling on the cart and the scooterist and motorcyclist sustained injuries.
