VADODARA, Aug 5: Students of the Faculty of Law, M S University have alleged that the faculty authorities were granting admissions to students who did not possess marksheets. One of the faculty students told Express Newsline that as most of the students were from outside the state, they did not have their marksheets and yet the faculty granted them admission. He alleged that in other faculties, filled-in forms were accepted only if the students showed their marksheets, but that was not the case here.
However, a faculty spokesman denied allegations, saying forms were accepted on the basis of provisional eligibility certificate and admissions were given only after seeking the marksheets.
He maintained that those who had not shown their marksheets would be admitted only if their percentage was within the cut-off per cent set by the faculty.
Meanwhile, another faculty student alleged that the syllabus, as laid down by the Bar Association, was not being followed by the faculty authorities and the present curriculum, left much to be desired.
He said the matter was pending in the Syndicate for quite sometime now.
