Robbery incident condemned
Zila Patrikar Parishad, Panchkula, has condemned the incident of robbery at the house of veteran journalist Tribhuvan Nath. The members of the Parishad have expressed concern over the rising crime graph in Panchkula and have demanded from the government adequate steps to curb crime.The general secretary of Haryana Lokdal Pradeep Chaudhary has also expressed concern over the declining law and order situation in Panchkula.Condoled
Death condoled
A meeting was held to condole the death of Vijay Kumari, who was allegedly tortured to death by the in-laws of the girl in their house at Shahzad Pur on the night of July 13 and 14. The meeting was attended by the relatives and friends of the deceased along with other members of the community. Ssecretary of local unit of the CPI, G.S. Jammu, demanded prompt action against the guilty.

Film on City at Plaza
The first public show of Sunil Babbar's documentary, `Chandigarh- the City Beautiful', will be held at the Plaza in Sector 17 at 7.30 on Friday, the 7. According to a press release, the docufilm will be shown at the Plaza every Friday and Saturday and at Sukhna Lake every Sunday.
