Dharmvir set the ball rolling for Bhiwani outplaying Bhupinder of Hisar to enter the final of the B-13 group (15 to 16 yrs) followed by Parveen who outclassed his opponent Manjit from Panipat in the first round of B-14 group to move into the final.

Rajnish was the third entrant from Bhiwani to get a berth in the final. He scored victory over Jaspinder of Faridabad in the semis in A-13 group.

In the senior division Bhiwani pugilist also made their presence felt. Both Dalbir and Vinod got the better of their opponents to make into the semifinals of the middle weight and lightheavy categories respectively.

Dalbir's swirling right punch followed by left hook was enough for Vijender of Rohtak to call it a day in the fourth round, which forced the referee to stop the contest.

However, Vinod got rid of Jasbir Singh of Faridabad quite early than expected. Vinod outclassed Jasbir in the 70th second of the first round.
