Forecasting rainfall during the next 48 hours, the weather officials said that the northern part of the district also experienced strong winds blowing at a speed of 12 km/h, as well as thunder and lightening.

The rains also led to delay in landing of an Indian Airlines flight around 8.40 am, besides disrupting vehicular traffic in various parts of the city. Many low-laying areas of city remained water-logged since the past several days due to the rains. No untowards incidents was reported in the district.
