While N Dinko Singh was pitted against Rajesh of Haryana, Gurcharan could not find a equal partner in the light heavy category. He exchanged punches with Harpal, Indian heavy weight probable. Despite slippery ring (due to morning rain), Dinko Singh carried too many guns against his opponent. As the bout progressed, the army boxer opened up and unleashed his punches in a systematic manner to outplay his opponent in all departments of the game.
