CHANDIGARH, Aug 14: Jasmeet Sawhney and Savraj Dhillion beat Tanya Grewal and HS Kang to win the Independence Day Cup golf tournament held at the Chandigarh Golf Club today. Sandy Lehal with a total of 78 had the highest gross score while AS Bhaika with 79 was second.Prince Dhillion (75) was the nett winner while BS Bains (78) was second.
Neha excels
Neha Sharma edged past Ami Wing 15-14 to enter the quarterfinals of the junior girls section in the inaugural St Stephen junior and sub-junior carrom ranking trophy in the scholl premises today.
Puneet Lamba and Harneet also made it the last eight of the junior girls section.
Results: Junior Girls (first round): Neha Sharma bt Ami Wig 15-14; Puneet bt Bhavneet Kaur 21-3.
