Farooq questions Pak locus standi on J&K
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has questioned Pakistan's locus standi on seeking resolution of Kashmir saying the issue was well settled five decades ago when the people tied their destiny with India.

Summons issued against Thackeray
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the 37th court N B Pokharkar has issued summons against Shiv Sena chief and editor of the Sena mouthpiece Saamna, executive editor of the daily Sanjay Raut, and printer and publisher Subhash Desai following a defamation case filed against the paper by Samajwadi Party (Mumbai) chief Abu Asim Azmi last month.

CBI tightens noose on JMM (S) leaders
A CBI team will leave for New Delhi with three JMM (S) leaders arrested in the Shashinath Jha abduction case, as the postmortem report of the skeleton disinterred on August 13 deepened the suspicion of the agency that it might belong to Jha, missing private secretary to JMM (S) chief Shibu Soren.
