HAJIPUR (BIHAR), August 16: Railway minister and Samata leader Nitish Kumar today said steps are being taken to expand the BJP-Samata combine to remove ``corrupt and ineffective'' RJD government in Bihar. He hinted at a ``new political equation'' in the state and said all possible efforts are being made to expand the combine's base which would work together to fight the RJD misrule.
Kumar, who was speaking after flagging off two trains between Hajipur and Barauni, denied difference between him and former minister Ramvilas Paswan on new railway projects.
``There is no difference between me and Paswan and my ministry is committed to sincerely execute projects announced by my predecessor (Paswan).''
He termed as ``baseless and canard'' allegations that he was ``misguiding'' the people on the alleged delay in providing land to his ministry by the state government for implementing several rail projects in Bihar.
Speaking on the occasion, Paswan said the days of Rabri Devi ministry were numbered and acampaign has already been launched to oust the present regime.
Nitish said his ministry had already approached the state government seeking allotment of required lands to ensure early completion of a number of rail projects including construction of newly-created Ranchi Division office.
