Jaya wants transfers cancelled The BJP breathed a sigh of relief today as no announcement of withdrawal of support came today from J. Jayalalitha. But the AIADMK chief kept up the pressure by writing to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee to demand the cancellation of the transfers of 17 top officials, including former Enforcement Director M.K. Bezbaruah and Revenue Secretary N.K. Singh.Oppn unites on Srikrishna In what is being seen as the first serious unity move in the Opposition, nine parties today joined hands against the BJP-led government using the Srikrishna Commission report to hit out at the Centre.
