Restored Town Hall opened in Calcutta

CALCUTTA, Aug 17: The Town Hall, which was restored recently under the project for restoration of heritage buildings in the city, was finally inaugurated by Buddhadev Bhattacharaya, Minister for Home (police), at a function here on Saturday.The function began with classical music and dance as Bhattacharaya lit the lamp and inaugurated the Hall. An exhibition of 102 paintings of the Tagore family from 1848-1925 is being held at the hall September 14. The exhibition has been organised by the Calcutta Museum Society, Rabindra Bharati Society, Rabindra Bharati University and the Calcutta Muncipal Corporation.
