August 18: Edwin D'Souza scored a late goal to help Our Lady School, Dadar, get past Campion School in an under-12 Colgate-Palmolive sponsored Inter-schools football tournament, at the MSSA-Castrol Azad Maidan today.After a barren first-half, where OLS missed many scoring opportunities as the top scorer of last season Majjid Khan was not in form. But deep into the second half, substitute striker Edwin won a ball from Campion defender and placed his left footer to the right of the goalkeeper Rajjan Viadya, who otherwise had a good game.In another under-12 match, a goal each by Brian Maurice D'Costa and Floyd Countinho saw St Xavier's sailing smoothly against St Antonio D'Silva 2-0 at the same venue.
Xavier's started well as Brian shot them into lead just seven minutes after the start, bulging the net with a powerful left-foot shot.
Floyd sealed the victory for Xavier's in the second half when he scored from a melee.
