Two killed in clash at Belgaum temple fair
BELGAUM, Aug 17: Ten people were killed when group rivalry flared-up on the concluding day of a temple fair at Hulkund in Ramdurg taluk on Monday. While one person was killed on the spot during incidents of stone throwing, the other was seriously injured when he was assaulted with sticks and stones in a nearby village. He later died in the hospital. Accordign to reports reaching here, the trouble broke our when rival groups of the devotees of the temple, situated atop a hill at Hulkund, indulged in heavy stone-throwing.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
