NEW DELHI, AUG 20: The Janata Dal has appealed to President K R Narayanan to dismiss the Rabri Devi government in Bihar for its failure on all fronts, especially the breakdown of law and order.A delegation, led by JD chief Sharad Yadav and parliamentary board chairman Ram Vilas Paswan, called on the President this morning and briefed him for 45 minutes on the prevailing situation in Bihar where the ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal had unleashed terror against its political opponents.
The party also demanded a judicial inquiry to investigate the ``unprovoked'' police firing in Sitamarhi which took a toll of five lives, including that of veteran JD leader Ramacharitra Rai.
Paswan told reporters after the meeting that Bihar was a fit case for Central rule as only jungle law prevailed in the State. Not only had law and order broken down but also central funds, meant for flood relief and developmental activities, were being misutilised, he said.
