SEBI nod for CDS
ENS ECONOMIC BUREAU
MUMBAI, AUG 20: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has granted certificate of registration to Central Depository Services (I) Limited (CDSL) as a depository in terms of Regulation 7 of Sebi (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996 with effect from August 19, 1998.CDSL is the second depository in the country after National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) to receive the certificate of registration from SEBI. Central Depository Services is sponsored by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Bank of India (BoI), a SEBI release said here today. Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
