Electrocuted
Ashok Patil, a resident of Mahaprabhunagar area of Limbayat, died on Thursday in the New Civil hospital, where he was being treated for injuries, sustained because of an electric current, the police said. According to the Limbayat police, Patil was fixing television antenna on his house when he received a shock from a live electric wire passing overhead. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered.

Dowry case
A married woman of the city lodged a complaint of physical and mental torture against her husband, mother-in-law and other relatives residing in New Delhi. According to the complainant, after her marriage in November 1996, her husband and in-laws had been demanding a car as dowry. The complainant, who came to her parents' house at Rander Road, also added that the accused had threatened to kill her if she failed to bring the dowry. The police have registered a case under sections 498 (a), 504, 506 (2), 323 and 114 of the Indian Penal Code.

Burns death
One Sushila Eknathji, a 24-year-old woman residing at GHB Amroli, died on Thursday morning in the Maskati hospital where she was being treated for burn injuries for the past three days, the police said. The deceased was cooking in her house when the stove exploded, causing her burn injuries, the police added. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered.

Acid attack
One Bharat Dabhi, a youth residing at Gambajrangnagar area of Puna village on the outskirts of the city, complained to the police that an unidentified person threw acid on him from the window on Thursday morning, causing him burn injuries. A case has been registered.
