Cinema Express awards function in Chennai on Saturday

CHENNAI, August 22: The 18th annual `Ujala Cinema Express' awards function, a gala ceremony which promises to offer a lot of glitzy, glamour and entertainment to audience and participants alike, will come alive at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in the city on Sunday.The Cinema Express awards, which honour excellence in South Indian films, would be presented to 43 performers in various categories in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, Cinema Express editor V Ramamurthy told mediapersons on Saturday. Among the stars attending the function are Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Sridevi, Jeetendra, Chandrachur Singh, Ayesha Jhulka, Mamta Kulkarni, and Namrata Shirodkar.
