Peace returning to J&K: Advani

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
JAIPUR, August 23: Union Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani today claimed that the government's initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir to contain militancy had started paying dividends and the State was returning to normalcy.

Talking to newspersons after the party's three-day national executive he hoped the world would now realise India's concern about the trans-border terrorism which was equivalent to proxy war.

Meanwhile, two militants, a block president of the ruling National Conference (NC) and a surrendered militant were among five people killed and two children wounded in continued violence in Kashmir valley since last evening.
