ATR error political, not "clerical"
The controversy surrounding the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the Jain Commission report has taken a new turn with Home Minister L.K. Advani's admission of an ``inadvertent error'' related to the inclusion of M Karunanidhi's name in the ATR's list of suspects. Karunanidhi's name now figures under the sub-heading entitled ``Stand of the SIT on theories beyond LTTE''.

No parleys on with DMK, claims BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said there was no move to seek the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's support. It further added that it didn't think AIADMK chief Jayalalitha would gravitate towards the Congress.

Orissa Cabinet reshuffled; CM keeps Finance
In a move to tighten his grip over the administration, Orissa Chief Minister J B Patnaik on Monday changed the portfolios of several ministers including Deputy Chief Minister Basant Kumar Biswal and inducted senior tribal leader Mohan Nag into the ministry, giving him independent charge of Food and Civil Supplies. Nag was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Dr C Rangarajan at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday.
