VADODARA, Sept 1: Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad have decided to ask senior students of various faculties to conduct classes to compensate for junior students' loss during the teachers' strike.ABVP member Mayur Patel told Express Newsline, ``We have already launched similar programmes elsewhere in the country''.
Students of various faculties had been asked to assemble at the Faculty of Arts, Patel said, adding that they had already identified the students who attended their classes regularly and were among the toppers.
Pointing out that university students had already lost two months because of the teachers' strike, he said there wasn't any chance of it ending soon. ``Soon the Navratris will be upon us, and then the university will close for Diwali'', Patel said. ``The first and second year students should at least be able to attend a few classes before they go on their vacations.''
