VADODARA, Sept 1: Dena Bank has introduced tele-banking in three of its branches and extended business hours by 30 minutes in all the computerised branches in the city. The facility was inaugurated by bank customers at a simple function at the Raopura, Alkapuri and Sayajigunj branches on Tuesday afternoon.Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, Nirmal Jain, bank assistant general manager, said tele-banking would allow customers to get instant information about their accounts, deposit interests, remittance and foreign exchange rates over the telephone. Customers can also access statements of account on the fax by dialling the phone numbers.
The bank's branches at VIP Road, Makarpura, Bahucharaji Road and Fatehgunj would get this facility within two months, he added.
Jain and senior manager J G Pandya said the Vadodara district had recently organised a lok adalat exclusively for Dena Bank in which 241 cases involving bad debts of Rs 83 lakh were settled. A similar lok adalat would be held in Rajpipla on September 20, they added.
