One Ramanbhai Shivabhai Patel, residing at Patel Phalia in Yaqutpura area of the city, has been booked under Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act for bootlegging and sent to jail. The PASA orders against the accused were passed by Commissioner of Police Kuldip Sharma.Arrested
The crime branch detectives arrested one Jayesh, residing in Surat, who during preliminary interrogation admitted to have escaped twice from police custody in the past and conceded to have committed several burglaries in Vadodara and Surat. Further investigations are on.
Theft
Wash basin and plumbing items worth Rs 10,000 were stolen from a house, belonging to Niteshbhai Prabodhbhai Shah, in Ganga-Yamuna Society in Subhanpura locality of the city on Tuesday night, the police said. A case has been registered in this connection and is being investigated.
