VADODARA, Sept 1: The State Government has asked all government departments of Vadodara District to contribute Rs 3 lakh on the occasion of Teachers Day.This was stated at a joint meeting of District Education Officer V Nanavati and District Collector Anil Mukim on Monday. The amount collected by the various departments will go towards the Teachers' Welfare Fund.
President of the Vadodara District President's Management Association Prakash Desai said 50 teachers from various schools will also be felicitated on September 5. He said every year teachers were honoured and this year would be no exception. He added that the function would be held jointly with the Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar and Bright School.
