VADODARA, Sept 3: Indian Oil Corporation Company Limited's mega projects like the Panipat Refinery, diesel hydro-desulphurisation units at Haldia, and the Mathura Refinery, amounting to Rs 5,000 crore, are expected to be completed by 1998-99, according to executive director of Gujarat Refinery P S Rao.Speaking at a function organised here to mark IOC's Foundation Day on Tuesday, he said a coker at Digboi refinery was also expected to be completed by the year-end. Three on-going projects, were also likely to be completed by 2000.
He said Indian Oil had begun marketing its products and services abroad and was also operating Zambia National Oil Company's oil terminal from Ndola.
A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion.
Among others, Deputy general manager (HR) Kamla Das, secretary of Indian Oil Officers' Association M B Pandya, manager (corporate communications) Dr Ajit Pathak and a number of retired employees of Indian Oil were present for the function.
