CHANDIGARH, Sept 3: Kumaon Sports Club beat Government Senior Secondary School-35 by 35-runs in the final to win the Kumaon Cricket Trophy at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here today. The winners of the tournament got Rs 2,100 while the runners-up took home Rs 1,100.Amit Bhardwaj and Manoj were declared the best batsman and bowler of the tournament respectively.

Selection trials
The Chandigarh Amateur Athletic Association will hold trials for the North Zone Junior Athletic Championship to be held in Kanpur on September 25 and 26, on September 6 at Sector 7 Sports Complex.
According to a press release trials will be held for boys and girls under-20, under-18, under-16 and under-14.
Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Sprots Department is holding an enquiry into an alleged misbehaviour by an athletic coach with a trainee.
