Two held for stealing car
Two persons have been arrested from the Punjab University campus and a stolen Ambassador car (DL-4-C-5361) recovered from their possession. According to police sources, the accused Manjit Singh, a resident of Khuda Alisher village and Gurdeep Inder Singh Dhillon, a resident of Naya Goan village had stolen the car in Delhi. The police have registered a case under Sections 411 and 120-B for dishonestly receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy. A resident of village Khara Pathana near Faridabad, Ramesh Godara, has been arrested after Narinder Singh Shura, resident of Hostel No. 4, Punjab University, lodged a complaint that the former had threatened him. A case under Sections 323 and 506 for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation has been registered and police are investigating the matter.
Car stolen from Sector 46
A Sector 46 resident Vivek Kumar has reported that his Maruti car (PB-27-2877) has been stolen from his residence. Police have registered a case.
under Section 379 and are looking into the matter.
