HC rejects Chandamama plea
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
CHENNAI, September 8: The Madras High Court today declined to grant anticipatory bail to four directors of the `Chandamama' group of publications, who apprehended arrest by the CBI in connection with a bank fraud case involving Rs 13.94 crore. Dismissing their petitions, Justice R Balasubramaniam held that based on the materials placed before him by the CBI, enlarging them on pre-arrest bail would cause irreparable loss to the investigating agency, which had to unravel the criminal conspiracy among the parties in the case.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
