MUMBAI, Sept 8: A 20-year-old youth accused of making obscene phone calls to a woman for the past six months was remanded to police custody today.Vama's problems started in April this year when an unknown person called regularly at her residence. The caller identified as Sai Prahlad Pendem called at odd hours and used foul words.
The calls became frequent following which the couple lodged a complaint with the Mahim police and the MTNL. The accused was nabbed from his uncle's residence at Andheri on Sunday. He was charged under section 506 (part II), 509 and 34 of IPC.
