No Borivli stop for Rajdhani, August Kranti

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, Sept 8: The union minister of state for railways, Ram Naik, has ruled out any stop for Rajdhani Express or the August Kranti Express at Borivli. Naik claimed that any stop for these trains at Borivli would effect the running of 13 local trains during peak hours. ``We feel that 60,000 commuters should not be made to suffer for the comfort of a mere 2000 passengers in the two trains,'' he added.

Speaking at the Indian Merchants Chamber, he said the decision was taken after considering the effect it would have on the suburban railway system. Meanwhile, the city Youth Congress committee has threatened to launch an agitation from September 13 demanding a stop for the two trains at the station.
