Meet on traffic problems

The Western India Automobile Association has organised a face-to-face meeting of members and other motorists with S P S Yadav, additional commissioner of police (traffic), at 5 pm today at Walchand Hirachand Hall, fourth floor, Indian Merchants' Chamber, Mumbai-20. Motorists can discuss traffic problems that they face with the ACP.

Wildlife photo exhibition

The World Wild Fund for Nature-India will hold an exhibition of photographs between October 5 and 9 on the occasion of Wildlife Week. The last date of acceptance of entries is September 25. For details, contact 2075142, 2071970 or 2078105.

Talk on technical writing

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) will hold a talk on technical writing on September 11 at 6.00 pm at IIT Computer Science Department Seminar Hall, Powai. The scope, qualities and tools of technical writing will be discussed at the meet.

Satellite remote sensing workshop

The StXavier's College is hosting a workshop on `Present and Future Missions of Remote Sensing Satellites, Data Products and Services' on September 11 and 12 in collaboration with the National Remote Sensing Agency. An exhibition on this subject will also be held at the college hall on both the days. Only professionals and academicians from the field of satellite remote sensing will be allowed to participate.

Management symposium

Technovate-98, an all-India techno-management symposium cum meet, will be held from September 17 to 20 at the Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai. The meet will include contests and projects in hardware and software, talks, seminars, product demonstrations and laser disc shows. Students from engineering colleges all over India will participate in the meet.
