VADODARA, Sept 8: Though the recent traffic experiment, introducing diversions between Kalaghoda, Kothi and the City Telephone Exchange near Maharani Shantadevi Hospital, failed to yield results, the traffic police has once again resolved to introduce a traffic diversion, on experimental basis, between the Railway Station and Kalaghoda from September 15. The diversion is aimed at reducing traffic congestion at the Kalaghoda Circle.However, unlike in the past when the arrangement was for 10 days, this time around the diversion will be in effect only for three days.
Under the new system, traffic coming from Railway Station side and heading towards Kalyan Hotel and Dairy Den, would be allowed to take a right turn from the Sardar Patel Statue itself, instead of taking a circular route from the Kalaghoda circle.
Likewise, traffic coming from the Sardar Statue and Dairy Den side and heading for Kalaghoda, will not be allowed to take a turn from the statue, but will have to go up to the Sayajigunj Police Station and then take a right turn for Kalaghoda.
Objections and suggestions in this regard can be given to Assistant Commissioner of Police A R Munshi either in person between 3 and 4 pm on working days or on telephone number 423505.
