NEW DELHI, September 8: As many as 21 teams, including last year's winners CRZ School (Sonepat) and runners-up Bihar Regiment Centre School (Danapur) in the boys section and SGNP Shahbad (winners for the last four years) in the girls category will be seen in action in the 32nd All India Sardar Mohan Singh Hockey Tournament, commencing at Shivaji Stadium here on September 10.Prominent among other participating teams in the boys section are Sports College (Lucknow), Sri Hari Singh Mahavidyalaya (Sirsa), Udai Pratap Inter College (Varanasi), Shivalik Public School (Chandigarh), Union Academy and Fr Agnels School (both Delhi).
The tournament will be on knockout-cum-league basis, with last year's fnalists CRZ (Sonepat) and BRC (Danapur) seeded directly into the league and will join six other teams will qualify from the knockout stage. These eight teams will then be divided into two pools and the top two teams from each pool will play the semifinals. The final is slated for September 22. In the girls section, the other prominent participating teams are Modern school (Vasant Vihar), S S Khalsa School (Lajpat Nagar) and GHPS.
