Salwan girls emerge winners

NEW DELHI, September 8: Government School, Gulabi Bagh, defeated Army Public School (Lodhi Estate) 15-4, 15-8 in the Pepsi-Salwan Inter School Volleyball Tournament being played at Salwan Girls School, Rajinder Nagar. In another match, hosts Salwan Girls School downed DKS 15-12, 15-10. Ryan International and Kendriya Vidyalaya (RK Puram) got walk over from Tilak Nagar and Bal Bhwan Public School, respectively.The game between Gulabi Bagh school and Army Public School started on a facile note with the former take a firm grip over their rivals soon enough. Then they picked pacee midway through the game and won with considerable ease at 15-4. But in the second game, APS girls fought back bravely only to lose their way in between. Salwan Girls were stretched farther than they had anticipated as DKS girls put up a brave front in both the games.
