Burns death
One Sangeeta Savle, a 25-year-old resident of Gopinath Society in Amroli died early on Tuesday morning in the New Civil Hospital, where she was admitted on Saturday night with severe burn injuries. The Katargam police stated that according to the victim, she was making tea when a kerosene stove exploded, due to which she sustained serious burn injuries. The Katargam police registered a case under CrPC 174.

Suicide attempt
A married woman tried to commit suicide by consuming phenol, but was reported to be out of danger, after a person teased her in Mahidharpura area, a case registered in the police station stated. Laxmi Padamshali had come to her father's house, near Suraj Theatre in Mahidharpura, when one Saddaiya Sammaiya teased her. She then returned to her house in Limbayat and consumed phenol. The police have registered a case under IPC 354 and have taken the accused into custody.

Vehicle theft
A kinetic Honda scooter (GJ 5 D 2923) was stolen from the Gundi Sheri of Lal Darwaja area, the Mahidharpura police said. According to a complaint filed by Kusumchandra Gandhi, he had parked his vehicle at in the area and returned later to find it stolen. Gandhi did not name any suspect and the police have registered a case under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

House burgled
A locked house in the Shahpore-Nanavat area of the city was burgled on Monday night by unidentified people, a complaint lodged by Nitin Marfatia in the Chowk Bazaar police station said. The exact amount of goods and cash stolen could not be be ascertained, the police added. A case under IPC 457 and 380 has been registered and is being investigated.
