New Delhi, Sept 10: The banned United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) today rejected Home Minister L K Advani's offer for talks within the ambit of constitution, and vowed to continue its ``long-term struggle'' for secession.``We will not sit for talks under the condition of abiding by the Indian constitution,'' ULFA central publicity secretary Mithinga Daimary said in a statement faxed to PTI here in reaction to Advani's offer during his Assam tour.
Advani on Tuesday said talks with insurgents in the North-East should be held within the parameters of the Constitution as the country cannot be `divided to pieces.'
Dismissing Advani's offer for talks as a `typical playing of old cassette' by Central ministers touring Assam, the ULFA statement said there cannot be any question of calling off the `fight to establish self-rule'.
Advani, it said, had `exposed' himself by saying that talks were not possible outside parameters of constitution.
