Moya to be bombarded by `scud' in semis
French Open champion Carlos Moya made quick work of Magnus Larsson, racing through an impressive victory to advance to the semifinals of the US Open tennis championships. The 10th-seeded Spaniard took just 90 minutes to beat the unseeded Swede 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in windy, cool conditions at the National Tennis Centre.

A new Pakistan government probe into match fixing accusations may delay action against test stars Wasim Akram, Salim Malik and Ijaz Ahmed. The interim report of a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) inquiry firmly implicated the trio, but may be superceded by a separate government commission appointed last month to investigate bribery.
