Sunaina to lead Panchkula

CHANDIGARH, Sept 14: Sunaina of Government College for Girls, Sector 11, will lead a 16-member district Panchkula team in the fifth Haryana state women's cricket championship to be held at Yamunanagar from September 15 to 20. The other members of the team are: Shveta Anand, Shveta Suneja, Shipla, Shikha, Sapna, Geeta Chaudhary, Seema, Manju, Sarika, Ashima Sabharwal, Anju, Gunjan, Nitasha, Shami and Kokan.RP Chopra and Ashok Sabharwal will accompany the team as coach and manager respectively. Panchkula team will cross swords with Faridabad in the opening match of the meet. Athletic camp The Amateur Athletic Association of Chandigarh will hold a ten-day coaching camp in the junior division at Sector 7 Sports Complex. The selected team would take part in the forthcoming North Zone Junior Athletic Meet to be held at Allahabad. The camp would begin tomorrow. Team Boys: Under-20: Sunil Yadav, Pargat Singh, Pawan Kumar, Mohit, Ved Parkash, Harmeet Singh, Sumit, Ajay, Mohit, Shiv Bahadur Singh and Julfkar, Lakhbir Singh. Under-16: Lakhbir Singh and Manmohan Singh. Under-14: Harinder Singh. Girls: Under-20: Aishwarya Chandel, Rachna, Daya Verma, Deep Sharma. Under-18: Suman and Parkiti. Under-16: Mohinderjit Kaur, Veena Yadav and Shakshi. According to a press release, Sarabjeet Singh would be the in-charge of the camp. The team will leave for Allahabad on September 24.
