Australia rout NZ, enter final
A brilliant all-round display by Australia made their semi-final match against their Trans-Tasman rivals a mis-match. Australia's nine-wicket win was fashioned mainly by left-arm spinner Brad Young, who completed a hat-trick, to send the Kiwis crashing down for 58 runs.

Indian teams make last four stage
The Indian men's hockey team, despite muffing several chances, took their appointed place in the last four of the Commonwealth competitions in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday after a 3-1 victory over New Zealand. In the other semifinal, Pool A toppers Australia will play England who had defeated Pakistan and hence finished runners up in Group B.

Aaquib, Zahid put Pak one up
Poor batting by India in the wake of some good bowling gave Pakistan a comprehensive 77-run victory and a 2-1 lead in the five-match Sahara Cup cricket series in Toronto on Thursday. Indian batsmen slumped to 180 all out in 46.2 overs, on a pitch on which their counterparts thrived under bowler-friendly conditions to make 257 for five off their allotted 50 overs.
