In the girls' round-robin match, Government High School, Patna scored a 1-0 win over Government High School, Jharsa.

CRZ struck twice in quick succession, in the space of two minutes, in their match against Victor School. Jitender Singh (4th minute) and Dinesh Kumar (6th) were the goal scorers. Sandeep Kumar converted the team's fourth penalty corner in the 28th minute as the teams crossed over with CRZ leading 3-0.

Vivek Dahiya increased the lead in the 43rd minute and two minutes later the Jalandhar boys reduced the margin through Satwinder Singh.

In the penalty corner competition betwqeen the two teams, CRZ won 1-0.

BRC scored their goals through Alois Kerketta, Vijay Topno, Alexius Tirkey and Gabriel Herenj. Queen's Convent reduced the margin in the 56th minute through a penalty corner conversion by Mohd Ajam.

The all-important goal in the girls match was scored by Sunita Kumari of the Patna school in the 34th minute.

Hat-trick by lovemeet: Outside-right Lovemeet Singh's hat-trick was the highlight of hosts S S Mota Singh Senior Secondary School's thumping 8-2 win over R D Public School (Rohini) in the junior boys section of Mota Singh hockey tournament at Mota Singh School ground.

Gurvnder (2), Jaspreet (2) and Shailender Singh were the other scorers for the winners while rakesh scored both goals for the losers.The hosts, who were superior in all departments of the game, had an upper hand right from the start and kept the pressure on their rivals. The Rohini schoolboys failed to put up any resistance despite they had ample opportunities midway through the game.

Their defence was poor all right but even their forwards failed to capitalise on the chances that came their way.

In another match, The Air Force School played a 2-2 draw against Sawan Public School.

In senior boys section, Fr Agnel School beat The Air Force School 8-1. Wilson Dung Dung (2), Sadul Kabir (2), Gulal Singh 92), Joseph and Devesh were the scorers for the winners.

In the girls section, GHPS (India Gate) defeated Modern (Vasant Vihar) 3-2. Paramjeet kaur, Pooja Rawat and Pavneet Kaur scored for the winners while Vrindar Tulshan got both goals for Modern.
